Guild Election Rules - Reminder

Post by vampirss »

Guild Elections:

Those voting must be a minimum of level 35 and age level of 21 to vote (or run for office) and must be registered members of the community.

A 2 week period will be given for those wanting to put their name in for the elections, and then a 2 week period will be given for the elections.

Guild Master elections will take place once during an OOC year, 6 months after the Vote of Confidence that will be held to ensure the guild is happy with the work the Guild Master is doing on their behalf.

The Vote of Confidence (VOC)will be held at a regular time though an OOC year (6 months after the regularly scheduled election), should the current Guild Master win the VOC, they will continue through to the next election period 6 months from the VOC time. Should the Guild Master fail to win the VOC, then a new election will be held, where the guild master can put in their name should they wish to attempt to win the election. Once a GM is elected at this time, there will still be another election in 6 months time, as that is the regularly scheduled Guild Master election time.

A Vote of Confidence (VOC) may be called, no earlier that 30 days after an election time, by 3 members of the guild that feel the Guild Master is not doing their duty to the guild. Once the vote is called for, the VOC will be run. If the Guild Master wins the VOC, then another will not be held until the election or the official VOC at that time. Should the Guild Master not win the VOC, they may run in the following election from the loss, and the 3 that called for the VOC will be required to run for office. Whoever wins the election, will not have to worry about another VOC until the scheduled time for the next election or VOC, giving the new Guild Master time to get acquainted with their new position and into running the guild.

If the Guild Master is not active (does not show up within game at least once within a 21 day period, without advance knowledge being given to the guild of such an absence) then the Guild Master can be replaced. The guild lieutenant (senior if more than one) will be put in place of the Guild Master at that time.

Should the current Guild Master step down during their time in office, the (senior) guild lieutenant will be offered the position of Guild Master. If the senior guild lieutenant cannot fulfill the position of Guild Master or does not want it the next guild lieutenant will be offered the position if there is one, otherwise, an election will be held to fulfill the position.
