Death to Daemons!!

Post by Alioik »

Alioik dips his fingers into the blood pool left by Damonia, the Daemon Queen, and smeared the blood into patterns on his face. He noticed with a smile on his face that Daemon blood was much warmer than any other blood he had come into contact with. As he walked through Wintertown on the way back to the guild, he recounted his recent battles in his mind.

He had been sent out on a task by Tashmaal to kill daemons. He has 2 options and as normal he had picked the harder of the two paths. His task was to kill 50 of 5 different types of daemons, Damonia their queen, and her 5 lieutenants. He remembered first walking through Wintertown and noticed the people hiding in their houses afraid of the daemon scourge so close to their village. Of course he didn't kill the daemons to save the village, he did it because his guild asked it of him. As he made his way closer to the fortress of Damonia he noticed daemon children playing with things they had stolen from Wintertown. He was resolved to leave the young ones alone, they were not worthy prey. He thought this until the first one of them had bared its teeth and leapt at his throat, intent on killing him. The children were easy prey, but were vicious, especially in groups. The next group of daemons he took his axe to were the maidens. They were none to happy that he had slaughtered 50 of their children. They rushed him with teeth and claws reaching for vital spots. Again it was like cutting wheat, quick work of his axe and 50 were slain. He was stopped at the gate of the fortress by a Daemon guard and his swarm, of the group the guard actually took some work to bring down. As he made his way into the fortress, he knew that the daemons would be harder to slay. Inside the fortress the daemons were in groups but quickly went down the trainees with their bows. He chuckled to himself, maybe their trainers needed to be retrained. The soldiers and the fighters presented more of a challenge, being as they had spent more time fighting, however like the others 50 corpses quickly piled up. Alioik mused to himself that he could fill the entire dungeons with the bodies he had collected. It was here that he met the first real challenge of his task. While wandering he encountered the first of the lieutenants of Damonia, a Necromancer. The Necromancer was surrounded by other magic users who were immune to his axe. He cut down the necromancer and withdrew from the dungeon, locking the wizards within. As he continued to wander he met with the other lieutenants, the mage, the archer, and the ambassador, and each were killed. He went looking for Damonia and met her Queen's guard. This was quite a challenging fight, for the first time since his one man war against he daemons, he felt like he might be visiting Naria. However, through resolve and anger he was able to kill the guard and his rabble. He knew in front of him lay his final challenge, Damonia. He charged into her chamber and quickly went to work. He was very lucky that early in the fight with her he got in a stunning blow to her head with the handle of his axe. Ailioik made a note here to buy a round for the tutors in the guild for his recent training. With her stunned and weakened he was able to use his axe more efficiently, but even after several cuts she was alive. Finally after what felt like enough strikes to fell the thickest tree, she fell, soon after so did her minions.

As Alioik made his way to the fork in the path, one back home and one east, he decided that there was another demon that needed slaying. Tashmaal had asked if he was also willing, he could kill Yaltaor, the red demon. He smiled and headed towards were this demon made his home. He hot blood had cooled on his face and he missed its pleasing heat. He decided that Yaltaor's blood would be used to replace it...
