Testing begins

Post by Aluzka »

That night, the first set of tests was put into action. using two different ways to use the apricot stone. Both subjects are getting the same dinner of roasted meat, potatoes, bread and vegetables along with a half keg of their own special ale. At first a lager was going to be used and it was decided to change it to a lager instead. It will all work the same so it will not be a factor. The vials got crossed a bit, so subject one will get vial B, subject two shall get vial A..

Subject one - This subject is going to receive ale made with apricot water. There is question if the ale will be tasting fruity. It was brewed in house with the special water, so nobody was daring enough to taste test and find out if there was such an issue. Soon, it shall be tested.

1800 - The subject receives his meal with the half keg of specially brewed ale and a large mug to drink it from. Before touching his meal, he downs one large mug, licking his lips. He says it is different from any other ale he’s had but good all the same since he’s had only water since he arrived here.

1830 - The subject has most of his meal gone and finished another two mugs of ale. No noticeable side effects other than the start of getting drunk - slurred speech; yes, he talks to himself a lot.

1900 - Subject has taken to pacing the floor while ranting about much of nothing. His food is gone now. He’s drank another two mugs of ale at this time. His speech is still slurred and his walking is impaired. He’s walked into the walls several times already.

1930 - No changes. Another two mugs of ale down.

2000 - The half keg is empty now. The subject downed four mugs of ale in the last 30 minutes seeming that if not done, he may die of thirst. He’s not ranting anymore, speech is very difficult. Walking has ceased. He’s taken to sitting on the floor, leaning against the wall while holding the keg.

2030 - Subject has had his last drops of ale in his mug for ten minutes now. He leans against the wall to keep him upright. One arm is around the keg as if savoring its presence while the other holds the mug with the remnants there. He sips at it little at a time, though the mug is empty, between solos of incoherent babble.

2055 - Subject has fallen over, passed out from the alcohol, his arm still around the keg as he snores horribly loud.

Assessment - There are no poisoning effects within this vial at all.

Subject two - Subject receives the same meal as subject one, however, his ale has ground apricot stone within it. There is concern if the grains, though fine, will be noticeable.

1800 - Once the subject received his meal, his first notice was the keg. He filled his mug and sipped at his ale for a while before touching his meal.

1830 - Subject has two-thirds of his meal to go, the first mug is finally gone. There has been no notice or word of grainy alcohol, he just seems happy to be tasting an ale. He finally has his second mug in hand.

1900 - He’s slow with everything he’s doing, like he’s trying to enjoy every sensation and movement. He’s slowing down even more on his dinner. Only three-quarters of it has been eaten. is second mug is down and third on it’s way.

1930 - Subject is on his fourth mug and has started bouncing off the walls. He’s pounding on the door periodically wanting to go out, in between, he’s literally bouncing up and down as if he’s trying to expel extra energy.

2000 - Between bounces, subject got down two more mugs, however, he’s starting to slow down again. He’s got his hand over his stomach as if it hurts. He looks at his food like he wants to finish it but can’t bring himself to do so.

2015 - Subject has dropped his mug while having a convulsion. His kicking and writhing has knocked over the remains of his food. A one minute convulsion that has now ceased.

2030 - Subject has recovered from the convulsion. He got another mug of ale and tried to drink away what happened. He quickly downed one mug and most of the second before putting it down.

2045 - He’s trying to drink his ale, but it is spilling more than he is able to drink as his hand jerks in uncontrollable spasms, however, this doesn’t keep him from trying.

2055 - He is doubled over in pain, moaning as he grabs his stomach once again. Possible he is experiencing abdominal muscle spasms.

2100 - Stomach pains continue, hands still jerking. He’s had another convulsion, this one lasting longer than the last one, approximately three minutes.

2120 - Subjects lips are turning blue, extreme pallor, eyes are looking deep set and his breaths are getting very raspy and shallow. Suspect respiratory failure. Don’t expect him to live much longer.

2127 - Subject had another convulsion. After his movement had stopped, three minutes more, shallow breaths followed, then no additional movement. Waiting a few more minutes then will check. Expected - Death.

2129 - Went in to check subject after two minutes of no movement at all. No heartbeat. No breaths. No eye movement. Subject is deceased.

Assessment - Eight and a half mugs of ale from this mix and subject is deceased. Painful death. May have survived with only pain if drinking less. Size of subject, amount drank and amount of alcohol used may change this outcome
