Phantasm of Uncertainty

Post by Kalari the Lost Soul »

She drifted in and out of the misty shroud of her own personal nightmare. She was alone, she thought a lot about what had come and what had gone. Her screams of horror lost in a place few dared to tread. She relived it all time and time again. The pain and the wounds fresh upon her milky skin. They would heal and the cycle began anew. This was the path she had chosen, solitude to protect those she cared the most about. The ones she no longer wanted to see ripped to shreds and tormented, haunted.

Kalari was good at that, haunting. She was hauntingly beautiful, she was hauntingly cunning, she was hauntingly strong. A phantasm of every mind she had come in contact with. Some good, mostly bad. If Kalari was there it was sure to be interesting.

She remembered everything and it replayed over and over, the physical pain didn't bother her. It was the heartbreak. The kind she caused and the kind she had felt. So many people she hurt and who hurt her. She choose to disappear into the nightmares where she felt the most peace. There was never peace, but there was reassurance. She could always feel HIM, until she didn't.

Killraven, upon that mountain, her dagger ready. The one job she could not complete. Her best friend, her soulmate, the one constant in her life.

She jolted, she had always felt him, the good the bad the ugly. She knew she didn't need to seek him out as long as she could feel him. He was... he was at least breathing and that was enough for Kalari to continue her exile.

She was lost in another nightmare, watching it play out for him. It felt like a snap, that mental connection that always comforted her was gone. She jolted up and called out for him, knowing he wouldn't hear her, she was far too gone. She sent signals that went unanswered.

She tried to find him among the nightmares, he was no where to be found. So she made a decision.

She came back.
