enchanted rings and their effectiveness

When using an enchanted ring with the unlock spell does the spell check go against my MSU or the person who enchanted the ring?

Is the spell weaker due to being an enchantment instead of casting (I.E. if the Wizard who casts has unlock at awesome is the entrenchment at proficient)?

I had a longer better post but the forums timed out and erased my post. Supper annoying.

Specifically for unlock in a ring, it's checking your MSU. Other spells may do it differently and scrolls are different to rings / rods.

Rhaegos, I noticed that if you login after it times you out and go 'back' on your browser until you get back to where you were writing your post (usually for me, it's two clicks of the 'back' button), it will return you to your post with your progress saved where you left it.

I tried that Lamaenor, it didn't work. It was a wonderfully cheeky post. In the end, short and sweet it is and still got my answer. Thanks for the info though!
