A Moment of Disgust

Post by Grief »

Death's own lowly Brotherhood Monk did make his way through Gallowhaven, he had been spending a lot of time there. And then a curious moment took him by surprise.

In 'The Red Lion' Tavern

Various adventurers are sitting here at dark wooden tables, some in groups
and others sitting alone as they eat and drink while keeping warm by the fire
on the southern wall. Over in the corner, looking out of a lead latticed window
onto the street is a brutish looking man with scars down his face.

The man then told his tale to Grief...

The man looks up from sharpening his knife and frowns as you approach him, his remaining
eye glinting in the firelight. He looks you up and down and grunts a greeting, "Hello
there, Grief... visiting Gallowhaven eh? I'm just here recovering. I can't stand being here
much longer, the stench, the crime and corruption..."

He puts his knife on the table on front of him and raises a hand to his face, gently
touching the scars there. "Demon Fire.." he says by way of explanation, "risk of the
trade I'm in. Must be getting old and slow," he says with a shake of his head.

"A thousand curses on the denizen's of the Underworld..." he growls, before looking you
in the eye, "I tell you Grief, I'd pay well to hear news of the deaths of any Greater
Demons".

And then the man proceeded to offer the Monk gold and glory for all this.

Grief spits on the man.
