An Ordinary Day

Post by An Unassuming Figure »

It was an ordinary day in the month of Weeping Skies, the year 455, when the unassuming figure arrived in Spire Hold. It had been quite some time since he (or was it a she? Who could remember.) was in the small town, but he looked as though he fit right in. As a half-elf of average stature and completely, almost stunningly, typical in every way, it was quite easy for him to move about the realm unnoticed and unremarked on.

He entered the local herbalist shop frequented by both the area's adventurers and farmers. A few moments after he arrived, a group of belligerently drunk men came into the shop, apparently after having a few too many at the Bobbins Inn. They hooted and hollered, knocking over displays, and otherwise being a nuisance.

The unassuming figure ignored them, and took advantage of the distraction. He began to steal the contents of the shop, the larharch seeds, the kulkarn, the juniptar; funneling the seeds into his pouch, then replacing them with some other, similar looking seeds. By the time the raucous drunks had settled down and the shopkeeper was no longer distracted, it looked as though nothing had changed, and the unassuming figure was gone.
