History of Silk This elf was raised apart from other elves and instead by a family of Half-ogres. While hunting with his brother in the forests his family at home was killed. Alone the two boys made their way to the City of Devardec. The first people Silk met within the city walls were a group of Rogues that decided to take him under their wing. Only a few years later Silk approached Fink and joined the Rogue’s Guild. While very quiet at first Silk slowly rose in the ranks of his guild and joined the path of pain within the Temple of Fate. In the year 145 Silk went on a journey to search for some friends that had vanished earlier in the year. After finally finding what he searched for he returned in 168. Unlike his time as youth however Silk was no longer very quiet. He often spoke his mind and it was not long before he was elected to serve as a GL and then GM of the Rogues. At the same time he rose in the ranks of the Temple of Fate to serve as the Master of Pain. Stepping back from guild politics Silk took a more active role in the City of Devardec and throughout the 240s helped in defeating Grimfar and served in the Sun Guard. In 249 he aided in the final battle against the Shade Devil and was given the honor of serving as the Baron of Devardec. After years of war with Twilight the city became slightly peaceful and were caught offguard when a plague swept into Devardec. Silk was only one of those that came down with the disease. Realizing that he could no longer lead the city he turned over control to Skeezer and retired to the Lodge of the Black Rose. A week later Silk joined Drogun and a few others in the center of Twilight and Drogun performed a ritual to try and rid the lands of the plague. During the ritual Silk was killed as the plague was cured. As the magic of the plague left the lands Silk was brought back, but was no longer a regular mortal. As a hero Silk left the Temple of Fate and retired from the table of the Black Rose. He then wandered the lands without dedicating his life to any of the Immortals or their Spheres. Often Silk would make his way by reclaiming gold or items from others that no longer needed them. During the freeing of Stil from the imprisonment by Varnius Silk assassinated Varnius and captured his power. With his new power Silk found himself on the Immortal plane and took control over the Sphere of Shadows. |
