History of Praetorian Praetorian Nupraptor was born in Devardec to two elvish parents of no particularstature. Both are mere guards of he City of Woodtop. However, he wasn't raised to be trained in the art of combat. Instead, his parents shielded him from training with the sword or with magic. He was sent to school in Woodtop for 8 years. In that time he excelled in his classes, but his social life was a different story altogether. Because he was not from Woodtop, he was a pariah amongst the other elvish children. Too often, he was picked on and it bothered him. Throughout the days off from school, he wandered through the streets of Devardec. He became fascinated with the art of combat. Though, he had taken it out of context, he followed Knights around and watched them train. He emulated their skills using a wooden stick. When he showed his peers that he was able to defend himself, he was never again picked on. At the age of 18, he had finished his schooling and had left home. His mother and father had begged him to stay away from the path of the adventurer, but in his heart, Praetorian was not cut out to live a boring life. He kissed his mother on the cheek, bowed to his father and left their home. His parents are retired, but still alive and currently living in Woodtop. Praetorian went through the motions of any adventurer. He joined the guild, and proceeded on to train. He had finished his quests to join the Knights, where he stayed for approximately 20 years. But something inside of him grew. He had formed beliefs different from the ethos of the Knights... something Roguely. He left the Knights in the year 201 and joined the Rogues, abandoning his old strength for a new kind of strength and beliefs. He has spent the past 96 years as a Rogue, serving two terms as a Guild Assistant. Around his 40th year, after the death of his first wife he left Norland and set sail around the realm of Terris, having many adventures. But his heart returned him to the guild at the age of 87. |
