Sects

While there are two sects that Torretan’s Faithful may come to choose
 from, it should be noted that any who follow one sect over the other must
 realize that Torretan, being immortal and incarnate of the Fire sphere,
deserves your respect, devotion, and loyalty. With that said, followers of
either sect will uphold the ethos, centered around Torretan’s Manifestation
of Fire, and the concepts of Strength, Rage, Destruction, Consumption,
and strict adherence to the pursuit of power, seizing of opportunity, and
 the destruction of weakness to gain strength.

Belief in Torretan, and only Torretan, is important.
This constitutes the very foundation of Fire. There
is no other deity except Torretan. He is indivisible
and absolutely transcendent. He is the sustainer of
the Fire. He is similar to nothing and nothing is

like him. He knows all things, both secret and open;
he is the sovereign of Fire.

Next, we have Fire.

Fire is a phenomenon of combustion as we see
it in light, flame, and heat; it is a tool, it
is a weapon, and it is an element that has great
importance in civilization. As a mysterious power
it has gained favorable mentions in many writings
and studies throughout many cultures of Norland.
Fire is pure creation. Fire is visible divine
energy pulled from Torretan that can be seen and
felt. It is said to be the mediator between us and
Torretan. The study of this element, and all of the
sister sects, are welcome here. Freedom to learn
and experiment are here. This also means, while you
do not have to give yourself fully to Torretan, you
must at least give your attention, respect, and
some devotion.

Torretan's Divinity
The first sect, those of Torretan’s Chosen, believe in and
 uphold Torretan as their one and only God. The Sovereign
of Fire, he is eternal, absolute, glorious, the wielder and
sustainer of fire. He is indivisible and transcendent, and
 his word is Law, for he is absolute. To follow Torretan is
 to worship Torretan, to revere him, to spread word of his
 magnificence to all and to tear asunder and destroy those
unworthy of the Divine Phoenix’s grace!

Fire
The second sect, those inspired by Fire, are scholars who
 seek to learn more of Fire and its power. Fire is pure creation,
 divine energy pulled from Torretan, tangible in that it can be
 seen and felt. To follow this sect is to study this element, to
 learn and to experiment. While those of Fire do not necessarily
worship Torretan to the extent of his Chosen, they believe in
 him and his control over the sphere and revere him in all things
 as their chosen deity while they spend their time as Disciples
 of the Flame.
