Takara, Dark Queen Told by Froggor     The story begins long ago, when the Great Woods were still one and the Northern Road had yet to split the forest. When Vagma was still imprisoned beneath the mountains of Belegost, the Elves took the Woods as their homelands and built the great city of Woodtop and named Takara as their queen. Her heart was noble and strong and she was devoted to her people and her love, Lord Zir.     Two great wizards, Lord Varnius and Lord Fallar served the elves. Both were great wizards of light. For years the elves ruled the woods in peace, but then Vagma awoke...     Remembering that it was Zir who imprisoned him, Vagma chose to have revenge. Vagma looked over the world and saw the Love between Zir and Takara..For Zir loved Takara more than anything. Even more than battle! And Vagma plotted to destroy that love.     Vagma summoned great power from the void! Darkness started to sweep over the elvish woods. The trees became twisted and Vagma's beasts roamed the woods. The elves fought well but were no match for Vagma's forces. Before long the whole eastern woods was dark and twisted.     Takara sent a group of elves to Hellegost...She had the dwarves extend the roads through the woods. She had hoped that by cutting off the tainted parts, the darkness would not spread. The elves pulled back to the west woods and their city of Woodtop, but Vagma's power was too much for them.     Splitting the woods didn't stop him. His power touched the west woods too. In desperation Lady Takara sent her elves to scour the world looking for something to stop this darkness.     Many weeks passed and the darkness continued to grow in power. Then one day and elf scout returned...     Badly wounded he told of a great artifact in the dungeon of Dandyloes. His message delivered, the elf died from his wounds. Takara gathered together the greatest of her elves...With the Wizard Varnius at her side, she led a party to the dungeon. They fought many battles. They moved deeper into the dungeon than any mortal had before. And there they found a great hall.     Inside the great hall, there was a dark crystal. As Takara and her elves walked to the crystal, Vagma appeared! And he said "Revenge is MINE!"     He waved his hand and the crystal started to glow. An evil glow crept over the elves. As it touched them, they were twisted in evil beings... Dark Elves!     Even Queen Takara was affected. Her great Love for Zir became twisted into an even greater hatred. Lord Varnius saw what was happening and quickly grabbed the Elvish Crown and made his escape through a portal. For the crown had a great holy magic in it. But he also was touched by the darkness and could feel it growing within him.     He went to Fallar and ask Fallar to drain the magic from the crown incase it too was tainted. Fallar did and used the magic to create the temple of light off the Great Northern road. Varnius could feel the darkness pulling at him and soon it would be too strong to resist.     So he left Woodtop before the darkness would drive him to destroy it. He built himself a tower in the Wildlands, where he could continue the study of magic far from people. For he knew that he too was becoming an evil thing and wished to protect Woodtop from himself.     Takara was forever changed by the evil magic, and her soul was sealed within the crystal. It is said she will never fully die until the crystal is found and destroyed and Vagma took great care to hide the crystal well.     That is how Takara went from being the great queen of the elves to the ruler of the Dark elves and how Varnius became Varnius the Dark.
