Days past as the two forces camped at the little town of WinterTown. The Defenders thought of every Stratigy they could to get into the walls and take back the Citadel. All the ideas where dropped for they all mostly depened on the element of surprise or getting into the Citadel it self. The Dwarves who went into making the Citadel were called, there only Reply "Let it be, twas built to withstand even the gods rage, tis nothing you can do." Hopes became bleak with dispair. Comanders sugested maybe an Airmore attack with ground forces sweeping in, All they needed was someone to open the doors. They went with the idea.
The Next Morning.
The Dragon Raiders and thier mounts readied themselves. Archers were placed to snipe out Deamons on the walls thus to allow the Raiders more time to swoop in. heavily armed Knights and Warriors lined up the front ranks with Gms and Gos On Mounts standing behind them, Sorcerers and Wizards stood mixed on either sides to allow support of magic in the attack. Seige machines rolled out into the large field and were readied for attack. A few bands of Barbarians arrived before the attack with Large grizly bears and Huge Ice wyms. They were to lead the assult, Thier beasts of war could easily rip to shreds all who came too close.
Pangol was the first to be told of the oncoming attack. "Those fools dare to fight us, Tell The General Of these Attacks. Send Out Ruthalis to allert the others of this attack. Once the Barbs Break rank The Others must be ready." with that the page was off grabing others to help with the comands. Pangol looked back onto the growing force and smriked.
With the news Reaching the Deamon General he knew this was the time he waited for. Knowing his speech made days earlier did its job in making the Defenders comanders loose face and show thier pride. This was the weakness he planed on to exploit. Calling forth his soldiers he lined them upon the Balista and keep the shudders up to allow the defenders to forget they where there. He plan was to allow them into the fields and unleash the Balista's bolts to strike down an Iron curtian of death.
Jural sat upon his mount watching the field. he was restless, after having an eye slashed out and two deep cuts to his side had left him out of the fight this time thru, he only served as an adviser and his Comand was now reality once they win the war. During his time to think while the Shaman healed his cuts and bandaged his eye, he dreamed of his days before this raid. how he would win the Tournement and take the Jousting hands down. How He was to take comand 5 weeks ago over the Balistas and catapolts. The same catapolts used agaisnt him and his friends. "Only thing Im glad of is those deamons are to dumb to unlock the Balista's main lock., With such a force they would of never let us get this far" But at night we he was down to rest did his dreams fulfill his nightmares of the Death that would await if they ever unlocked those machines.
Ruthalis sped down to the deep dungeon of the Citadel. racing to One of the Many Sorcerers down below reading the novels and spells kept deep inside. "I need to see the Queen and her army as well as reach word to our comanders waiting inside the tower to the south of the City, Thier Army is reading and we must be ready now!" The Mages scurried about as they began chanting spells and withdrawing into a cloak of shadows then into nothingess. As his Eyes adjusted He found himself standing in a large Open Cavern, Torches buring brightly, Hydras ettins and Giants sat In chains Ready for their command. Leigons of Dark Elves strung bows and sharpened swords knowing war was soon at hand.
Ruthalis stood amazed at what His lord had pulled through. He soon awoke to the Strange idea that before him sat one of the most Powerfull armies of the land, and he just entered unannounced. He Told the Comanders of the attack being soon and that They were ready for thier help. The Queen told her comanders to Prepare and set forth on thier duties. The Large underground force soon broke ranks and marched up the differnt tunnels and soon left the Cavernempty cept for 2 large group of Guards to the Queen her self. Ruthalis made his goodbyes and then faded away as he had entered. This time he found himself in an dusty old store room in a broken down Tower. "Comanders! Are you Ready for your part of the Final Assult?" Deamons ran about jumping into postions. This was the strongest of all the Deamon Fighters. They Where Sent here to rest for the 5 weeks and train thier Deadly Attack, or to Hold off any one who may try setting any catapolt devices upon this tower.
The Deamons didnt know that there was a curse upon the Tower and scared even some of the bravest in the lands away. This worked to thier advantage. Thier plan was simple. Ruthalis would lead the comand from here and wait for the signal to Send in these Berserkered Deamons to "wrap up"the rear squads of the Defenders army. And then to have the Dark Elves Swarm in from the sides and use the Citadel, The Deamons and Dark Elves would trap them in. Slaughtering all in the chaos of the valley. Thus leaveing the realm open for further Attack.
The Defenders watched the Sun rise slowly and grew restly for the attack. As they Troops Watched theier General, He raised his Sword and pointed to the Citadel. "ON MY COMMAND!" he yelled out. He Then Dropped his sword to issue the Command, A squire was over heard saying right at that momment. "may deori bless our souls.'
The Deaon General Look out onto the hill top and then to the valley, he watched as The Large Army drove down the hill Towards the Citadel, a smile crossed his face.
Pangol opened the Gates and let loose the frontal force and Charging close behind them atop his mount. "Now this will be fun"
Jural looked down on the valley and told the Dragon Raiders to Take off and begin thier assult, As they lept off he knew this would not fail.
Ruthalis led his men slowly out the tower catching two late comers and beheading them with little effort. The Town was empty, Everyone looked to the North where the Battle was about to take place. "This is our Time to shine'
